    Default CAWI interviews fail

    Hallo everyone!
Have you experinced things like the one described below?
I recently launched a survey with CAWI method of registration. We used external provider of e-mail addresses.
I have a reported link to check the progress of the quotas. The link is in perfect working order.
However, the provider claims that 1000+ people clicked on the link and I don’t even see them as incompletes??

Have you any idea how to check where is the problem?

Do the log files or survey software on your side show any (incomplete) visitors?

No incompletes registered neither by the log files nor by the survey software ... just the counter of the provider counts the clikcs on the invitation links, and nothing after this ....and the problem is still exigent

Wow. I'm not sure what to tell you from here. It looks like you have something to work out with your sample provider. I'd start by letting them look at your raw log files. Best of luck.

Are the clicks linking to the email provider then redirecting to your survey? If this is the case, is their redirection working properly? How are they tracking clicks otherwise (check they're not counting email views and telling you views rather than clicks?)?

When people come to your survey when do they register as a new respondent - is it when they land on the start page, or is it after they first start to answer the first question or click through to the survey?

Is there any duplication going on. If the email provider sends out two emails to the same person (or to the same computer), it's possible for just one person to be registered on the survey due to cookie tracking or similar which then recognises someone who has previously started the survey?
